Chauvinists are the Soylent Green of the Future –
Ever since the Women’s Liberation Movement hijacked the word “Chauvinist” it has, unfortunately lost its most powerful meanings.
For at least the last generation, the common folk of the United States have considered themselves the “Cat’s Ass.”
“A person, thing or event to be held in high regard. From the meticulous treatment and devotional attention a feline bestowes on its hindquarters. Not in wide usage. You look that good and can cook too? Damn if you ain’t about the cats ass! (http://www.urbandictionary.com/)
As a connoisseur of Underground Comics in the 1970s, I’m pretty sure Gilbert Shelton, the artist of the Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers originally coined the term in honor of Fat Freddy’s Cat. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freak_brothers)
It would seem that “Ass” is the only part of the term that actually applies to the USSA, especially in the 21st Century.
Flag Waving Idiots
You’ve seen them. You know them. Look in the mirror and you may find one staring back at you!
Idiots who are incapable of critical thinking and accept the propaganda and indoctrination of Public Dis-Education and Main Street Media into believing that the “United States is the Greatest Nation on the Earth” and “Jesus came again in Statest form” to save the World from Heathens and Fascists and Communists and Lemon-Aide stands and 11 year old girls selling cupcakes without a license!
‘MURIKUH! ‘MURIKUH! ‘MURIKUH! ‘MURIKUH!
HOO-AH! WE WON WWII AND SAVED THE PLANET FROM NAZIS!”
It’s all bullshit.
Expats and Émigrés are Not Cowards
Most folks in the States don’t realize that during the War of Secession (American Revolution) only 30% of colonists supported independence and no more than 5% actually participated in military actions. That was then; this is now.
More recent history suggests that the best way to victory is to remove oneself from the battlefield. I only exist because my grandfather fled Ukraine during the Russian Revolution, settling in Canada. Two of my grandfather’s brothers also fled before Ukraine was crushed by the Soviets. One of his brothers never left and died in a camp. It took almost 70 years but my grandfather was victorious when the Soviet Union disintegrated under the weight of its own flaws.
I observe the US following the same course as the former Soviet Union and like my grandfather, I am removing myself from the battlefield by moving to a nation where Liberty still thrives, government debt is almost non-existent and the economy has boomed while the US and the West flounder in the death-roes of crumbling empires. I expect to live to witness the implosion of this particular Police State, on the web while sipping potato vodka I distilled myself and smoking a cigarette I rolled after growing, curing and aging my own tobacco.
Cowardice? Hardly. How many others today have the balls to start from scratch in an unknown land? My grandfather did. My father did. So do I.
